BOARD OF DIRECTORS

EMBEWASCO has a well structured governance and leadership system which helps the company in executing its mandate according to the public company governance regulations, constitution of Kenya as well as WASREB.

Our Board of directors body is made up of seven(7) members, of whom five (5) are elected from the stake holders representing different interest groups e.g. Maendeleo ya Wanawake, Chamber of Commerce, institutions like schools and churches among others. Other two(2) are representatives of the county government of Embu.The Board is made up of qualified persons in line with WASREB guidelines. Their core mandate is to govern the operations of the company and safeguard interest of the consumers for better service delivery.

MANAGEMENT

The company management structure comprises of the heads of departments(H.O.Ds) and the general manager. Their core mandate is to oversee the day to day operations of the company and make crucial decisions on various sectors to ensure company performs according to its objectives. The heads of department report directly to the general manager who is the overall in decision making.They represent other junior employees and often advise the general manager on the changes and recommend the action to be taken against any misconduct. They also recommend for either promotion or demotion according to the performance of their junior employees.
