NEW AND UPCOMING PROJECTS
The company in collaboration with the Mbeere North Sub-county Administration,County Government of Embu, Ministry of Water & Sanitation and Irrigation and Tana Water Works Development Agency in an effort to boost water supply and ensure clean, affordable and accessible water to the residents of the dry Mbeere North Sub-county, has embarked on launching various water projects that will see an end to the huge shortage of clean water that has been facing the people of Mbeere North for many years.
These initiatives are geared towards ensuring every household has access to clean water in line with Kenyan Vision 2030, the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the company’s Pro-poor policy to supply the communities with low income with clean and affordable water.
The Ministry of Water & Sanitation and Irrigation on 19th July 2023, commissioned the Ena Siakago- Muminji Water project. This project will serve the residents of the Nthawa and Muminji Wards and increase coverage of households with access to clean water and proper sanitation.
The Ministry in collaboration with the county government of Embu, Mbeere North Sub-county Administration and Tana Water Works have a framework that will see more projects including, storage tanks, treatment plants and rehabilitation of pipelines and boreholes installed across the Ena Siakago and Ishiara schemes. This will go a long way into addressing the challenges of water & sanitation for the residents of Mbeere North Sub-county.
